Today, instead of the usual newsletter, I thought I’d share with you what I’m up to. It’s a big project (and I’m busy!) so it’s taking me a while, but I’m really excited about it and I think at least some of you will be as well.

I’ve already mentioned that I’m writing new courses but what I haven’t told you is that the courses are going to form the Coaching Compass Certificate in Writing Coaching.

The three courses are:

1.     Coaching Authors from Scratch: Guiding Writers from Concept to Completion (about helping authors draft their book from beginning to end)

2.     Beyond the Edit – Coaching to Elevate a Manuscript (about helping authors revise their manuscript, dev editing-style coaching)

3.     Coaching Authors Through Common Issues (focusing on techniques and tips for dealing with issues you’ll see regularly e.g. writer’s block, confidence/imposter syndrome, fear of criticism etc.)

To gain the certificate you’ll complete three courses (the ones I’ve written for the CIEP will also be accepted) and a piece of coursework (involving your work with a client).

Lots of details are still to be decided and I’m very open to hearing your thoughts. Once they are ready for sign-up, I’ll let you know.
